Topic: DESTROY THE DESTROYER

Subtopic: TRUST IN THE LORD

Text: Jeremiah 17: 7, Psalm 20: 7

Last week, we started this topic, Destroy the Destroyer, and I will like you to know that you cannot destroy the destroyer if you don’t trust the Lord. Jeremiah 17: 7 explains how blessed is the man whose hope is in the Lord. Knowing that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, let us ensure we put our trust in the name of the Lord as said in Psalm 20: 7. Never trust in any physical thing, trust in the Lord empowers you and gives you an advantage in destroying your destroyer. A man who trusts the Lord is the man who God fights his battle. Look at how God fought for Moses even when the people of Israel were mourning against him. In an act of God protecting Moses, about 14,753 people died. This is to tell you how God can fight for His own.

Another example of a man who trusts God is in 1 Samuel 17: 22-25, David, who trusts God for the defeat of Goliath. Many are scared of their problem as they have magnified it more than the name of God but if they can correct that and magnify God above their problem, as David magnified God against Goliath, they will experience the victory of Christ. Even from the statement proclaimed in verse 26, we could see how David trusted the Lord God Almighty. Likewise, I don’t know which areas of your life you are trusting the Lord upon, may you experience the victory of Christ in Jesus name. David’s brother, Eliab was not updated on David’s trust in the Lord as he misinterpreted his communications. Likewise we, sometimes people misinterpret that which has been placed in our hands, wondering how we are going to achieve what we have been ordained for but as David said in verse 37 and verse 45, we can continually proclaim our trust in the name of the Lord even as we through God prevail over our challenges. And in verses 50-51, his victory was recorded, I pray may the Lord grants us victory over all our challenges in Jesus name.

Our God is a faithful God who never fails, when you trust in Him, He is going to empower you and as well fight for you. As you trust in the name of the Lord, He will empower you for destiny fulfillment and fortify you from destiny destroyers in Jesus name.
