Today, we round up the topic “Take Time” with a sub topic “Be Vigilant”. As believers, we need to be vigilant as it is important for our safety and well-being. Proverbs 4: 23 tells us we must be vigilant with what we are meditating on, our thoughts even our words. We must guide those things we engage in, making sure that our ways are align with God’s word. Luke 21: 34-36 also admonishes us to take heed to ourselves, so we won’t be a victim in the hands of the enemy as a lot have been caught unaware.

Be vigilant to avoid the evils and troubles of this world as there are a lot of evils that surround us. Hebrews 2: 1 admonishes us not to allow what we are hearing, the wisdom and light we receive from God to slip from us and I pray we won’t be a victim to Satan in Jesus name.

1 Corinthians 10: 12 admonishes us to take heed lest he falls i.e., there is possibility that a man can fall. The more reason why you must avoid the praises of men and humble yourself before God. Psalms 119 admonishes us to stay with the word of God so that a man does not go astray from God’s presence. 1 Timothy 4: 16 talks about us earnestly following the teachings of Christ.

In conclusion, both physical and spiritual, you must take heed as there are a lot of bad influences outside there. Moreso, as the festive season approaches and the year rolls over gradually, take heed of your engagements and where you go. If you take heed, the Lifter of men will surprise you. Make God Almighty bless every one of us.
