Text: Proverbs 13: 11
Having an understanding that it is God who gives increase is as important as knowing that we have our part to play in the manifestation of divine increment. Our part is our hard labor. Labor is the effort put into work, hence we must not be lazy. Drive out laziness from your life. Proverbs 13: 11 made us understand increment comes through labor. A Christian must not say because of faith you don’t want to work. You must have the heart to work and pray. Galatians 6: 7 let us understand the effect of what we are doing now is called sowing and what we get in return as times reveal is called reaping. Prayer is good but not alone, add work to it.
Genesis 26: 12-14 shows us how mighty and blessed Isaac was to the extent that nations envied him, he was not lazy but hardworking and God crowned his effort with surplus. I pray may God crown every one of your effort. Beyond your prayers, ensure you are hardworking. Few questions I would like you to answer. Are you complaining that God is not answering your prayers? What are you doing? Are you hard-working? Don’t follow the pattern of the world to join the community of yahoo plus, wealth gotten in an ungodly manner.
Ruth 2: 7-8 Ruth was hardworking, she went to the field and started working and to God be the glory, she met her husband at the point of work. This is one reason why you need to be hardworking so that men can recommend you for any task to do. A young man wanted to marry from a particular family and he decided to visit the family. To his surprise, it was only the housemaid who was running up and down to get things done, the ladies of the house were sitting gisting and surfing. The young man concluded and decided to marry the housemaid. Don’t be lazy, be hardworking, increment comes by labor. When you are hardworking, the blessings of the Lord will locate you. I pray as you have decided to work hard, the favor of the Lord will locate you. His blessings be over you in Jesus name.
