Text: Proverbs 22: 29

As we discussed the topic today, let us consider who a busybody is. A busybody is interested in what other people are saying and doing. This type of people are concerned about other people’s matters not minding their own business. 2 Thessalonians 3: 10-11 shuns these acts such as waking up in the morning to discuss another person instead of being diligent in that which has been committed into your hands either job or work.

Remember that you will be accountable for how you spent your time on earth before the Creator. 1 Timothy 5: 13 shows the engagement of a busybody as this will give us wisdom about people to associate yourself with or relate with. Invest your time into great things like learning life-transforming skills. There are a lot of opportunities on the internet that you can harness rather than waste your time surfing online and laughing away opportunities around you.

1 Peter 4: 15 admonishes us not to portray the busybody character, and to stop punishing ourselves by doing things that are not profitable if not a life of suffering awaits the person. Let your hands begin to engage in activities so you won’t end up a murderer. Help yourself by not being a busybody. Proverbs 21: 23 makes us understand that whosoever keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from trouble. I pray may the Lord blesses and enriches the works of your hands.
