Text: Gen. 26: 22
Today, we shall round up our study of Rehoboth while we look at the topic “Acknowledge God”. From our bible text, after Isaac had stressed himself digging many wells which the enemies would come to cover after, he dug this and the enemies were unable to cover it. Children of God, we must acknowledge God in whatever field we are in, do not think it is just your strength and ability that has granted you a breakthrough in life. Learn to acknowledge God in whatever things you do. Though, Isaac was not a lazy man he acknowledged God. Proverbs 3: 6 admonishes us to acknowledge God that we may experience God’s direction. You need to learn how to acknowledge God despite the strength you have or the stress you might have experienced.
John 11: 42 shows how Jesus acknowledged the Father for the work which He had sent Him, and Jesus was honored. Forget the stress you might have experienced in that project or the effort you have put into it, always learn to acknowledge God and return all the glory in all things. So many students believe it is by their strength they passed alone but know that after every success, you must learn to appreciate God returning all the glory to the owner. Some so many people are cut off at the edge of a breakthrough. Deuteronomy 8: 18 addresses the truth about God being behind all happenings.
Let me share a story about appreciation to God, there lived two friends who were into business. While one of the two experienced many sales yet he was not grateful but believed it was by might and what he knew the other man though not making much sales was always full of gratitude towards God and believed in a better experience. Years later, the tables turned round, the ungrateful friend started experiencing some challenges that affected his sales while the grateful one started experiencing increment in sales, and not too long after, he became rich and God was happy to bless him and entrust His blessing unto him seeing that he is of a grateful heart. Therefore, brethren, learn to be grateful.
